Casual Class 5 Driver
The Role
We’re looking for skilled and safety-conscious drivers wanting to join our Transport team in Christchurch as a casual driver. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team where your work really matters. You’ll play an important role in keeping our customers and supply chain partners moving, while representing Sorted with pride on the road. What You’ll Do:
- Operate company vehicles safely and legally at all times
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle condition
- Plan routes and deliver orders on time
- Ensure loads are secure and compliant with legal requirements
- Accurately complete all paperwork, including logbooks and proof of delivery
- Promote health and safety practices and report hazards promptly
- Maintain valid licenses and certifications
- Contribute to a clean, secure, and professional work environment
- Class 5 Licence and experience is essential, road ranger gearbox preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within the supply chain industry
- Strong knowledge of road transport rules and safety regulations
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Positive attitude, team player, and commitment to safety
- Physically capable of lifting up to 16kg and carrying for short distances
