Air & Ocean Operator (Coastal)

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in a thriving and collaborative Air & Ocean team? We’re expanding and looking for a dedicated Air & Ocean Operator (Coastal) to manage a growing portfolio of valued clients.

As a Coastal Operator, you'll play a key role in coordinating domestic freight movements across New Zealand, ensuring shipments move efficiently while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Working closely with shipping lines, rail providers, transport partners, and internal teams, you'll manage the end-to-end operational process and help keep supply chains running smoothly.

Based in Christchurch, this is a Monday to Friday role, working a standard 40-hour week with some flexibility on start and finish times. Please note that this is an office-based position. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team in a fast-paced logistics environment, where you'll have a direct impact on keeping New Zealand's supply chains moving.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating coastal freight movements across New Zealand
• Managing customer bookings, quotes, and shipment tracking
• Liaising with shipping lines, rail providers, and transport partners
• Providing proactive updates and support to customers
• Ensuring accurate job processing, documentation, and invoicing
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Identifying solutions and resolving operational challenges as they arise

• Experience within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations

• Experience with CargoWise or similar logistics systems is advantageous
