Warehouse Supervisor - Christchurch
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated person to step into a Warehouse Supervisor role, reporting to the Warehouse Manager on the day shift. About the role
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll support daily operations by leading and motivating your team, maintaining a safe and productive environment, and ensuring warehouse processes run smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and supporting team members day to day
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all H&S requirements
- Supporting training and upskilling across the team
- Ensuring equipment is used correctly and maintained
- Maintaining compliance with MPI standards and processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
This is a permanent full-time role, predominantly working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm with occasional weekend work as required.
What we’re looking for
This opportunity is best suited to someone who already understands 3PL warehousing and logistics and is ready to step into a leadership role.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience supporting or leading a team in a warehouse or logistics environment
- The ability to work independently and take initiative
- Physical capability to perform hands-on warehouse tasks and operate MHE
- Sound knowledge of MPI requirements and procedures
- Confidence using multiple systems and learning new tools
- Strong communication skills and a supportive leadership style
- MPI-approved AP licence and Forklift OSH certification
- First Aid Certificate (highly desirable)
